Beliefs in Brief
There is One, Living and True God. He exists eternally as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ is both the Son of God and God the Son; begotten of the Holy Ghost and born of the virgin Mary. True God and true man, He was crucified, buried, risen, and is coming again.
The Holy Spirit is God. All true believers are indwelt by the Holy Ghost at salvation and repeatedly filled with the Holy Spirit after salvation. The baptism in the Spirit was a one-time occurrence at Pentecost. The "sign gifts" have ceased, but "serving gifts" endure throughout this age.
The Literal Account of Creation in the book of Genesis. That is, six twenty-four hour solar days of creation on God's part. Man was created immortal in the image of God, and not as an animal. He will live forever in one of two literal places: Heaven or the Lake of Fire.
Every Christian has direct and immediate access to God without any mediator other than Christ. God does not use people to tell us things in the prophetic sense, other than preaching or teaching from the Bible. He uses people using the Bible. No verse. No Voice.
The Home is the sacred first and primary institution of God. Physical intimacies are a gift of God intended only for expression in life long marriage between a man and his wife. Children are an heritage of the Lord and their lives begin at conception.
Bible Baptist Church is a self-governing, self-supporting, local congregation of born-again, baptized believers; associated by a covenant of faith and fellowship in the Gospel. Our Mission is the Great Commission of preaching, baptizing disciples, and teaching them to observe all things commanded by Christ, both here and abroad.
The Return of Christ before the Tribulation and Millennium. We will rule and reign with Christ for a thousand years in the Messianic Kingdom promised Israel.
Civil Government is of divine appointment for the interest and good order of human society. Rulers of government are to be prayed for and conscientiously honored and obeyed, except in things opposed to the will of Our Lord Jesus Christ, the one true King of kings and Lord of lords.
Distinctives
The Bible
There is a subtle and confusing trend toward reinventing the wheel when it comes to Bible versions. For almost three hundred and fifty years no one even questioned the Authorized Version of the Bible. Different versions began as an alternative in the late 1800s and have spread into hundreds of English versions of the Bible in the late 1900s. Even the revisions are already being revised. This is confusing Babel that God did not make. We will not correct the Bible. God knows what he said, and He said it was pure. All of the 'new' versions of the Bible come from a singular disproved text. Ever more, the issue seems one of doctrine for dollars. We see the problem as abnormal scholarship and not archaic words.
God has preserved His Word in inspiration and translation. Just as the new testament translated parts of the Old Testament from Hebrew to Greek, so the English of the King James Bible translates the Hebrew and Greek To English.
Baptism
Ordinances are specific traditions that were commanded the local church by Our Lord Jesus Christ. We believe that Baptism and the Lord's Supper are the only ordinances and are not sacraments. Baptism is administered by church authority only, to believers only, in the Name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost, by one immersion, because it pictures the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. The believer is thereby added to this body of Christ, Bible Baptist Church and becomes a member. Baptism makes the believer a member of this church. The only restriction on baptism is belief.
Acts 2:41; Acts 8:37
The Lord's Supper
The Lord's Supper is a memorial of the body and blood of Christ that shows forth His Death. It is to be observed by the members of Bible Baptist Church until the Lord's return. It is a solemn self-examination, followed by the sacred use of unleavened bread and the fruit of the vine.
Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 2:41-42, 8:36-39; Romans 6:4-5; I Corinthians 11:23-28; Ephesians 1:22-23
The Gifts
The Holy Spirit is the agent in the New Birth and further seals, guides, and teaches the believer. The Baptism in the Spirit was a one-time occurrence at Pentecost."Serving gifts" endure throughout this age, but "sign gifts" have ceased. All true believers are since and now indwelt by the Holy Ghost at salvation and repeatedly filled with the Holy Spirit after Salvation.
Stewardship
God is the source of all blessings, temporal and spiritual; all that we have and are we owe to Him. Christians have a spiritual debtorship to the whole world, a holy trusteeship in the gospel, and a binding stewardship in their possessions. They are therefore under obligation to serve Him with their time, talents, and material possessions; and should recognize all these as entrusted to them to use for the glory of God and for helping others. According to the Scriptures, Christians should contribute of their means cheerfully, regularly, systematically, proportionately, and liberally for the advancement of the Redeemer's cause on earth.

Bible Baptist Church is self-supporting from the tithes and offerings of her membership. While it may be the welcome desire of visitors to give and participate in the offering, it is the happy duty of members to do so.
The Evangelism
Getting out the Gospel is about Going and Giving. Both are the sole responsibility of the local church.
One of our local activities of evangelism is a "Tract Attack." During this time we saturate an area with personalized gospel tracts. Of course, living faithfully is always a primary way to emulate quality Christian character and mentor Christian living.
We use the Faith Promise Plan of support for World Evangelization and every penny given goes to the field. We commit ourselves to a designated amount of monthly support and receive personal letters and receipts. This brings the congregation into a personal relationship with the man on the field.
